  • After having my fifth baby, I had an even harder time getting my core back. I was in pain every day and having a hard time just functioning with basic daily tasks. After working with Rachel, I have little to no pain now. I can work out and do the things I love again!

    — J.N.

  • As a physical therapist myself, I appreciate Rachel's education and background, and her approach is much absent in the physical therapy field. She addresses the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is an intelligent, compassionate, gifted practitioner and a gem for the greater Wasatch community.

    — T.Q.

  • WOW! I highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for pain relief and expertise in body mechanics! I have issues with my knees, and Rachel guided me over six weeks to better movement patterns and more ease in movements. She even found me another practitioner to work with in my home state. This is a level of care so much above and beyond what I've experienced in the past!

    — A.E.

  • As an Occupational Therapist (OT), I thought I had a good knowledge about my body, pain, and ability to rehab it myself. But Rachel helped me understand my body better by increasing my awareness of how I hold and move my body in everyday tasks.

    — T.B.

  • Rachael is kind, intuitive, and incredibly insightful in what my body needed and what I needed as whole person. She a therapist for therapists. Each session was so helpful in integrating my weak points with my strengths in a fun and positive way. I am now safely running injury-free after five sessions. Highly recommend Rachel for ANYONE who wants someone who cares that you recover!

    — H.C

  • My bladder issue and my running posture were both linked to my weak core. I can finally enjoy activities with friends without worrying, and I can continue to run without pain!

    — M.B.

  • I highly recommend Movement Sense. I’ve been struggling with low back issues for years. Rachel is hands-on in fixing my pain and discomfort, and has taught me to know my body better. I’ve been pain-free for weeks. I'm now doing Pilates with Rachel to retrain my body head to toe, and learn to move in a safe, functional way. Thank you, Rachel!

    — J.F.

  • Rachel has an extraordinary talent in identifying the root cause of muscle or joint pain and working with individual habits to retrain problem areas. With her combined skills, she brings more to each session than most others in this field. Above and beyond her competency, she is a lovely and caring practitioner who follows up and makes sure you know she is thinking about your program!

    — S.S.

  • After a year of dealing with a chronic shoulder issue, Rachel mentored me through my own physical therapy process. I had seen three PTs by this point, and even though they were all excellent, Rachel was able to put all the pieces together better than anyone. Her advice and ideas improved my movement, my general wellbeing, and the pain and limitations in my shoulder.

 Frequently Asked Questions

  • No doctor’s referral needed!

In the state of Utah, physical therapy is considered “direct access,” which means a physician’s referral is not required.

Utah has no restrictions on who can see a physical therapist, nor when or how often. You can have as many PT sessions as you wish, and a doctor’s note will never be required for you to seek or continue treatment.

    • I do not accept or work with any insurance programs, including Medicare.

    • Payment is due at the time of service.

    • You are welcome to use cash, check, credit/debit card, HSA, or FSA as means of payment.

Why do you not take insurance?

I can give you better care this way. Because we are not beholden to the rules set by your insurance plan, you will receive care that is specific to your needs and situation, delivered in a way that works better for your busy life.

In many cases, this ends up being more cost-effective for my clients, because you:

    • Receive a higher quality of care

    • Can recover in a shorter time frame, with more lasting results

    Out-of-network reimbursement

If you are seeking insurance reimbursement for out-of-network services, I’m happy to provide a superbill. However, please first check with your insurance plan to make sure they provide out-of-network benefits.

  • Treatment focus is finding the root cause and may not be where you are experiencing your symptoms. Every person has a unique story and health baseline. So, the number of visits you’ll need to meet your goals will depend on many factors, such as:

    • Your motivation to participate as an equal and active partner in your own recovery and care.

    • The amount of time you’ve been experiencing the issue you want to resolve.

    • Your body’s response to treatment.

    • Your own internal timeline for healing.

    • Personal care that is matched to you and your needs.
